PRESS RELEASE  Jan. 23, 2012 The has opened enrollment for our next Junior Detective classes. The classes have been set for March 31st and April 14, 2012. The classes run from 10a.m. to 1p.m. This class is for ages 8-12 years old and to Urbandale residents ONLY with a cost of $10.00 per child. This is a very popular class that fills up quickly with a 12-student limit. Participants work with an Urbandale Police Detective and an Urbandale Police Officer. Participants are taught criminal investigative techniques to help solve a mock crime. They will view a burglary and process fingerprints and other evidence found at the crime scene. They will get to work in the police lab to compare prints and to dust for fingerprints! The class also includes touring the police station and a light treat and juice.
