Sex Offender Being Sought by Area Law Enforcement
The convict is on the federal marshal's wanted list.

The U.S. Marshal's Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force is searching for a convicted sex offender, Courtney Cortez Chestnut, 29, of Des Moines.
A news release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office says they are seeking Chestnut, of Des Moines, for failure to register as a sex offender and for escape. He has a history of assault, sexual assault and drug abuse, authorities said.
Chestnut is black, has brown eyes and black hair, stands about 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds. He has tattoos on both arms and may be wearing a thin mustache and beard.
