Sexual Abuse, Theft Charges in Urbandale Police Blotter

The Urbandale police reports below are preliminary criminal charges. They do not represent convictions or court resolutions. 

Oct. 11

Melanie Marie Anderson, 24, of Urbandale, was charged with OWI.

Steven Michael Arens, 20, of Windsor Heights, was charged with third-degree sexual abuse for inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old girl.

David Eldon Hike, 28, of Des Moines, was charged with fifth-degree theft for shoplifting.

Shannon Marie Johnson, 29, of Des Moines, was charged with second-degree theft.

Oct. 12

Marija Cuperak, 79, of Urbandale, was charged with fifth-degree theft for shoplifting.

Oct. 13

Danijal Kuckovic, 25, of Urbandale, was charged with eluding a police officer, careless driving and operating a vehicle without a valid drivers license.

Elvedin Music, 29, of Des Moines, was charged with public intoxication and a weapons violation.

Oct. 14

Christian Berkley Hein, 18, of Urbandale, was charged with public intoxication, simple assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and child endangerment without injury.
