Supply Lists Vary for Urbandale Students, Depending on what Schools they Attend
School starts Aug. 19 in Urbandale. If your child attends Webster Elementary School, the first letter of your last name will determine what you buy.

If you’re shopping for back-to-school supplies today, here’s some of what you’ll be needing before Urbandale Community School students head back to the classroom Aug. 19 for the first day of school.
At Jensen Elementary School, totes and backpacks are at the top of each supply lists for students in grades 1-5.
Karen Acres Elementary School, which also serves grades 1-5, also posted its supply list.

Olmstead Elementary School serves kindergartners through fifth-graders. When sending your kindergartner off to school for the first time, you’ll need to get a full-sized bath towel for rest time.
At Valerius Elementary School, parents are asked to limit the size of supply boxes and back packs due to the limited space in the classroom.

At Webster Elementary School, supplies to be used by the entire classroom – such as hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and plastic bags – are assigned to students based on the first letter of their last names. Be sure to check the list to determine what your child is supposed to bring
Rolling Green Elementary School is already in session under the district’s alternative calendar. Students there started school in mid-July.
School officials are urging all Urbandale Middle School students to have a planning agenda. They’ll be available at the office for $5, or they may be purchased elsewhere.
