“The assistant director, Heather Powers, and I were drawn to the show by its strong characters and the unique set. We especially like the playwright’s emphasis on the power of young people,” Vaught said in the Register article.
Students have worked diligently not only to bring the story to life but to build sets, props and designing posters for promotion.
“The cast is doing really well. They have all taken on a huge task in their characters and have risen to the occasion. There will be great characters onstage,” Vaught told the Register.
"The Miracle Worker" debuts at 7:30 tonight at the high school. An additional showing is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $5 for adults and high school students, $3 for kindergarten to eighth-grade students.
