Thrift Store Opening In Urbandale Next Month

Hope Ministries will relocate its thrift store from Pleasant Hill to Urbandale on May 1, reports the Des Moines Register.

The shop will open in a former flooring business building at 4640 Merle Hay Road in Urbandale, the newspaper said.

The store sells donated clothing, furniture, electronics, and household goods, according to the Hope Ministries website. Proceeds from the store help homeless and hungry men, women and children.

Donations will be accepted at the Urbandale center for two weeks beginning April 16. Staff will be accepting items from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Register said.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Call 265-7272 for more information.
