Urbandale Band Members Vie For All-State Recognition

Twenty-four Urbandale High School band members competed Oct. 20 for a trip to the All-State Festival.

Several Urbandale High School band members now have plans for Nov. 15.
Twenty-four students auditioned on Oct. 20 for the Iowa Instrumental All-State Festival.

Ten students were honored by being accepted to the All-State Band.

The students joined thousands from across Iowa schools for a chance to be chosen for the highest individual honor from the Iowa High School Music Association.

Students who audition for the Iowa Instrumental All-State undertake rigorous practice both in and out of school.

The All-State Music Festival will be hosted Nov. 15-17 in Ames.
