Urbandale Coach Notches 100th Win Against Johnston

Friday's 31-18 Urbandale win over rival Johnston tallied J-Hawks' coach Sam Anderson’s 100th career victory and moved the team to 3-0.

The J-Hawks had more than 300 yards of rushing, including a game-high 156 from quarterback Logan Augustine, who scored two touchdowns and passed for two more, according to the Des Moines Register.

Allen Lazard, who finished with four catches for 62 yards, grabbed both touchdown passes for Urbandale.

Johnston quarterback Michael Kinning passed for a game-high 203 yards and two touchdowns.

According to J-Hawks.com, Urbandale scored first on a Logan Augustine to Allen Lazard touchdown pass, the first of two such plays on the night and the J-Hawk defense held the Dragons scoreless in the second half.

Urbandale will face Dowling Catholic (3-1) at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines on Friday, Sept. 21.
