Urbandale Community School District: Combat Hunger Rivalry Week October 18-22: Help Us Raise Funds & Donations For Families In Need

UHS Student Senate is partnering with STAR 102.5 to participate in Combat Hunger in support of the Food Bank of Iowa. Urbandale High School is in a ‘fundraiser competition’ with Waukee Northwest High School for Combat Hunger Rivalry Week the week of October 18 – October 22, 2021. We need your help!

• Combat Hunger Rivalry Week October 18-22, 2021. All week, UHS students will be participating in a variety of fun activities to help raise money.
• Urbandale High School is in a ‘fundraiser competition’ with Waukee Northwest High School. Fans and students can listen to STAR 102.5 Ken, Colleen, & Kurt each morning for updates on each school’s progress.
• Our goal is to raise at least $1,500. Each dollar that is raised feeds a family of 4. Raising $1,500 will fund 6,000 meals.
• We invite you to donate online, or plan on donating cash or non-perishable food donations on Friday, October 22nd at the UHS Football Game. UHS Student Senate will be collecting donations in front of Frerichs Field. Also, Jimmy Wright with STAR 102.5 will be broadcasting live from Frerichs Field before the Varsity Football Game from 5pm to 7pm. During the game, STAR 102.5 will announce the total amount of meals the schools have raised.
• Combat Hunger Rivalry Week is presented by American Equity. Go J-Hawks!
