Urbandale High School Students Strengthening Job Skills During Cafe Boost

All proceeds from Café Boost go to the program to help offset the costs of community outings, transportation, and leisure activities.

Students participating in the Urbandale High School Special Education 4+ Boost Program can add “barista” to their skillset as they have been learning numerous job skills while serving delicious mochas, lattes, Americanos, and plain coffees as part of Café Boost located at UHS. In addition to learning about budgeting, inventory and management, students are also strengthening their skills in multitasking, customer service, and teamwork. Important skills for personal and professional success.

The UHS 4+ Special Education Program strives to teach independent living, learning, and working skills in support of teaching all and reaching all students. All proceeds from Café Boost go to the program to help offset the costs of community outings, transportation, and leisure activities.
