Urbandale Hy-Vee Expansion Draws Ire

Going to the grocery store can sometimes be a chore, but having a store handy would ease those times when you need to make a run for a quick gallon of milk.

But living behind the construction site, with noise and water problems, has soured one Urbandale family’s experience.

Patch reported last year the construction of a 95,000 square-foot at 86^th and Douglas Avenue, adjacent to the existing store. The store will be the largest in the Des Moines metro.

The Des Moines Register now is reporting how an Urbandale family’s experience with the construction has gone from “bad to worse.”
