Urbandale Man Hospitalized Following Saturday Night Crash
Both he and his passenger sustained injuries when the car he was driving flipped onto its top before colliding with a large tree.
An Urbandale driver and his passenger are still in the hospital following a Saturday night crash, the Des Moines Register reports.
Police told the newspaper that Leon Danny McNeal II, 41, was driving in the 5000 block of Grand Avenue much faster than the speed limit when he reportedly lost control and began to fishtail.
He overcorrected and the vehicle spun sideways, left the roadway and flipped onto its top before colliding with a large tree, the article said.
McNeal was taken to a hospital in critical condition and has since been upgraded to serious condition, the Register reported. Winters sustained multiple broken bones and is in fair condition.
