Urbandale Police Blotter: Barnstormer Coach Charged With OWI
The following arrest information was supplied by the Urbandale Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 4
Ryan Sloth, 33, of Urbandale, was charged with OWI and driving 49 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone following a traffic stop on 86th Street. Sloth's occupation is listed as an assistant coach with the Iowa Barnstormers football team.

Jason Fox, 22, of Urbandale, reported a TV and X-Box were stolen from a residence in the 10100 block of Meredith Drive.

Lincoln Lambert, 40, of Chicago, IL., was charged with OWI and possession of a narcotic following a traffice stop in the 4100 block of 76th Street.
Aug. 30
Khael Rosburg, 19, of Johnston, was cited for failure to yield while entering a highway after police said his vehicle collided with one driven by Dale Headrick, 55, of Urbandale. The report said Rosburg pulled in front of Headrick as he was turning from Northwest Urbandale Drive onto a private business drive. Damage was estimated at $6,000 for Rosburg's vehicle and $5,000 for Headrick's.
Aug. 29
Douglas Haney, 62, of Des Moines, was charged with failure to yield while making a left turn after his vehicle collided with one driven by Linda Johnson, 57, of Urbandale, at the entrance to the Goodwill store on Meredith Drive. Damage was estimated at $5,000 for each vehicle. Haney was also cited for failure to have proof of insurance and driving with an expired license.
The school resource officer at Urbandale High School seized cigarettes from a 17-year-old who was smoking on school grounds.
Alan Meyer, of Union, NE, reported that a mower was stolen from a trailer parked at the Super 8 Motel parking lot on Sutton Place.
Aug. 28
Joshua and Leah South of Urbandale reported a fraudulent listing on Craig's List.
Antony Hiszczynskyj, 39,and Megan Schmidt, 33, both of Urbandale, were charged with domestic assault and violating a no-contact order.
Valorie Brezina, 53, of Urbandale, was cited for allowing her dogs to run loose. Officers said it was the third time her dogs were impounded.
Michael Boatwright, 22, of Des Moines, and Dean Knutson, 24, of Urbandale, were both charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Aug. 27
A locked vehicle was found abandoned in the 10300 block of Meredith Drive. Police said the vehicle had a dent on the left fender and a flat front tire; yellow pavement paint was found on the car's tire and rim. Authorities impounded the car after attempting to notify the owner, whose name was not listed on the incident report. Damage was estimated at $500 to the car and $50 to a city of Urbandale street sign.
Employees at Stew Hansen auto dealership reported a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the parking lot sometime between Aug. 27 and 29. The value of the vehicle was not listed on the incident report.
A vehicle driven by Kelsey Gilliland, 22, of Des Moines, struck the rear of a disabled vehicle owned by Kathleen Williams, 51, of Johnston. Gilliland told police she was distracted while lighting a cigarette and didn't see the Williams' vehicle being pushed by her two sons in the 8600 block of Northpark Drive. Both of Williams' sons jumped out of the way before the collision and there were no injuries. Officers cited Gilliland for failure to stop in an assured, clear distance. Damage was estimated at $2,000 for Williams' vehicle and $4,000 for Gilliland's.
Angela Armstrong, 34, of Des Moines, was charged with OWI, possession of narcotics, and driving while her license is revoked after being stopped by police at the intersection of 86th Street and Douglas Avenue.
Aug. 26
Sreeramulu Navuduri, 63, of Naperville, IL, was charged with rapid deceleration after police said his sudden stop at a green light caused a vehicle driven by Kurt Lange, 49, of Urbandale to strike the rear of Navuduri's vehicle. The accident happened at the Douglas Avenue on-ramp to Interstate 80. Damage was estimated at $800 to each vehicle.
Kriston Long Sr., 35, of Des Moines, was charged with aggravated domestic assault for allegedly injuring his Urbandale girlfriend during an argument. The police report said the woman may have suffered a broken bone.
Andy Morlan, 27, of Ankeny, was charged with OWI after being stopped in the 8500 block of Horton Avenue.
Aug. 25
Laura Dallefeld, 26, of Des Moines, was cited for failing to stop in a clear and assured distance after police said she rear-ended a vehicle driven by Sandra McCann, 71, of Urbandale. The impact pushed McCann's vehicle into the back of a minivan driven by Jennifer Mellott, 46, of Urbandale. The accident occurred at the Interstate 80/35 on-ramp on Douglas Avenue. The police report said Dallefeld was unsure which on-ramp she needed and failed to see the stopped vehicle in front of her. Dallefeld had a minor wrist injury; McCann was taken by ambulance to Iowa Methodist West Hospital for head, neck and abdominal pain. Damage was estimated at $4,000 to Dallefeld's car; $6,000 to McCann's; and $2,500 to Mellott's.
Aug. 24
Edeward Stuckrath, 63, of Johnston, reported he was assaulted following a case of road rage in the 3800 block of 100th Street. The back window of his vehicle was broken; a damage amount was not listed and no suspects were given.
