Update: Urbandale Police Charge Windsor Heights Man With Sexual Abuse
The 20-year-old Windsor Heights man is charged with abusing a 14-year-old girl, according to police. He was a baseball coach at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines and a part-time employee at the Walnut Creek YMCA.

Urbandale Police have charged a 20-year-old Windsor Heights man with having inappropriate contact with a girl.
According to a news release, Steven Arens of Windsor Heights was charged Thursday with third-degree sexual abuse. The charge is a class C felony, punishable by a maximum of 10 years in prison and a possible fine of $1,000 to $10,000.
Arens was arrested following an investigation by Urbandale police detectives. The investigation began after a 14-year-old girl reported inappropriate contact from Arens.

Police said an incident between the two occurred in Urbandale; they are not releasing further details.
The Des Moines Register reports that Arens met the girl while working as a life guard at a local pool.

Arens worked in the aquatics department at the Walnut Creek Family YMCA, YMCA spokesman Dave Gieseke told the Register. Arens was a part-time employee and had worked at the facility for more than a year.
KCCI-TV reported that Arens had been an unpaid volunteer coach for the ninth-grade baseball team at Roosevelt High School in Des Moines.
Des Moines Schools spokesman Phil Roeder told KCCI that Arens was no longer involved with the team as a result of the criminal charge and his failure to have a state coaching license.
Arens is currently being held at the Polk County Jail on $10,000 bond.
