Urbandale Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Couple Connected to Hotel Thefts

Polk County Crime Stoppers offering reward in theft of coins from change machine.

Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man and woman wanted to for questioning in connection with the theft of coins from a change machine at an Urbandale hotel earlier this month.

The thefts occurred at 3:39 p.m. April 17 at Ramada Inn, 5000 Merle Hay Road, and were captured on surveillance video, Urbandale police spokesman Randy Peterson said in a news release.

Individuals with knowledge about the crime ae encouraged to contact the Urbandale Police Department at (515) 331-6803, or tips may be made anonymously at Polk County Crime Stoppers at (515) 223-1400.

If a tip results in arrest, the person making it may receive a reward of up to $1,000, according to the release.
