Urbandale Woman in Jail for Allegedly Leading Omaha Police on Easter Sunday Chase
Officers received reports of a semi-truck driving recklessly on Interstate 80 near Omaha on Sunday. Driver Pamela L. Spring of Urbandale was arrested and a methamphetamine pipe was found in the truck, officials said.
An Urbandale woman driving a semi trailer truck was jailed after allegedly leading the Nebraska State Patrol on an Easter Sunday pursuit in Omaha, according to the Syracuse, Neb., Journal-Democrat.
Around 9:45 p.m., Sunday, the Nebraska State Patrol responded to reports of a semi driving recklessly on Interstate 80 near Omaha. The semi was also believed responsible for a non-injury accident in Sarpy County, the newspaper reported.
A trooper attempted to stop the semi near the Highway 50 exit, but the driver failed to stop and continued to operate the semi in a reckless manner, the newspaper said. The truck traveled at speeds ranging from 40 to 70 mph, before coming to a stop on I-80 near 42nd Street in Omaha.

The driver of the semi, Pamela L. Spring 44, of Urbandale was arrested without incident. A methamphetamine pipe was seized from the semi, the newspaper reported.
Spring was booked in the Douglas County Jail on charges of reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and leaving the scene of an accident.
