Urbandale's Medicap Pharmacy is Making a Move

Urbandale's Medicap Pharmacy is moving to a new building about six blocks from its current one, according to the Des Moines Register.

The pharmacy is currently located at 7641 Douglas Ave. Owner John Forbes, who opened his pharmacy in Urbandale in 1980 and moved into his current building in 1989, told the Register the new pharmacy will be constructed at 8170 Douglas Ave. 

Need for more space is prompting the move, the article said.

Construction is expected to begin later this summer, with completion by the end of the year, Forbes said.
