VIDEO: Urbandale Mom Was Son's Biggest Football Fan
KCCI-TV has again posted video it shot of Trudy Goss-Hurley at one of her son, Ben's, Urbandale High School football games. She died last week from ALS.

There is new video online today of Trudy Goss-Hurley, the mother of Urbandale High School football quarterback Ben Hurley, who died May 2 of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
A memorial service for the 53-year-old Urbandale woman was held May 6 at Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association.
Even as she was disabled by her disease, Goss-Hurley loved watching her son Ben's football games.

Goss-Hurley and her son, Ben Hurley, were featured on KCCI in September 2011. Ben, the quarterback of the Urbandale football team last fall, spent much of his childhood taking care of his mother. When the in-home help was not around, he served as one of her main caregivers.

Trudy was a remarkable woman, and will be greatly missed by friends and family around the world. She was blessed with a rare strength and laughter, which filled her life, her love, and her passion for skating, travel and oldies music.
Trudy is survived by her children, Anna, Nicholas, and Benjamin; their father, John Hurley; her mother, Zella Goss; and three brothers, Larry, Scott, and Greg, all of California. She is preceded in death by her father, Dale, and her brother, Kurt.
