What Caused a Recent Class Reunion to Go South
A West Des Moines woman's joy in seeing an Urbandale man, and old pal from high school, reportedly didn't last long.

An impromptu class reunion reportedly went sour recently after a 34-year-old West Des Moines woman let a former high school chum she’d met on a chance encounter sleep on her sofa after he allegedly said he was too intoxicated to drive home.
The woman told West Des Moines authorities that she and the suspect, a 32-year-old man from Urbandale, met at a Johnston bar, on a night in mid-March. When she woke up at 8:30 the next morning, he was gone and so was her vehicle, valued at $5,000.
Also reported missing were her purse and its contents, including a $200 smartphone, that were still in the vehicle.
