The class is for ages 8-12 years old and the cost is $10 per child. This is a popular class, and enrollment is capped at 12 students.
Participants work with Urbandale Police Detectives and are taught criminal investigative techniques to help solve a mock crime. They will view a burglary and process fingerprints and other evidence found at the crime scene. They will get to work in the police lab to compare prints and to dust for finger prints. The class also includes a tour of the police station.
