Yo2Go Offers a Healthy, Fat-Free Frozen Treat

Yo2Go is a non-franchise frozen yogurt shop, where anyone from kids to adults can enjoy 12 different kinds of fat-free yogurt and over 70 different toppings from nuts to cereal.

Customers can come in and sample frozen yogurt themselves before buying. Frozen yogurt is sold at 40 cents an ounce by a bowl or cone.

, said her business is only one of a few 100 percent yogurt shops in the Des Moines metro.

“We are 100 percent certified yogurt; others are powder, cake mix and milk,” Roberts said. “We opened so we can be healthy. That is why we are fat-free, 100 percent yogurt, we flavor all of our yogurts.”

Yo2Go opened in 2011.

One of the unique toppings offered is Chia seeds. Roberts said Yo2Go is probably the only place that offers this healthy topping.

“Chia seeds are good to sprinkle on yogurt, the crunch is good,” Roberts said. “Every customer that has came in and tried the Chia seeds, loved it.”

Yo2Go is in the entertainment book and has a punch card special. Yo2Go also has gift cards available.
