You’ll Feel Very Good – and (Hint) Relaxed – About New Merle Hay Mall Tenant
Deb Shops and Maurices are showing off their expanded locations this week and the Merle Hay Mall makeover continues with a new tenant announcement.

Taken from a news release from Merle Hay Mall:
As part of the multi-million dollar redevelopment project taking place at Merle Hay Mall, Deb Shops and Maurices have invested in new and expanded locations next to Staples inside the mall on the east side. Both stores were previously located on the iconic upper Bridge Court.
Maurice’s will host a sneak peak of its new 4,500-square-foot space at a grand opening at 5 p.m. Thursday. Deb Shops, now occupying 7,500 square feet, held a grand opening celebration Monday.

In other Merle Hay Mall news, Massage Heights has signed a lease and will open a new location in Merle Hay Mall in time for the holiday season. The Merle Hay Mall location will feature a convenient exterior entrance located near Staples.
A spokesman for the mall’s owner, Abbell Credit Corp., said the upgrades by the two women’s apparel shops will help Merle Hay Mall compete.

“We’re very happy to have these two new national retailers opening new prototype stores as they will continue to add to the mall re-tenanting currently under way,” said Jim Sutphen, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Abbel Credit Corp. “With the recent opening of a new prototype MC Sports in almost 25,000 square feet and with the addition of an eight screen cinema/eatery in Flix Brewhouse coming in the summer of 2014, we feel that Merle Hay Mall will once again be the destination of choice for our customers.”
