• Washington County Emergency Management Establishes Disaster Assistance Center Following Severe Weather (kciiradio.com) — Washington County residents hit by recent flooding can get in-person help applying for state disaster assistance grants at the Kalona YMCA meeting room on Monday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The center will guide eligible households through Iowa Individual Assistance and Disaster Case Advocacy programs, which can cover uncovered repair costs and connect families with long-term recovery support.
