School Bus Strikes Vehicle at Kum & Go: Waukee Police Reports

March 12

Patrick Gray of 7150 Dakota Drive, West Des Moines, reported the theft of a duffle bag from Waukee High School. Items taken were valued at $265.

March 13

A 13-year-old boy was arrested in the 2300 block of L.A. Grant Parkway and charged with simple assault after pushing away from a school principal. No injuries were reported.

March 14

A vehicle driven by Nathan Tounsley of 1403 Fifth Ave. S.E., Altoona, was stopped while westbound in the parking lot at Kum & Go, 350 S.E. University Ave. Tounsley was waiting to turn left onto L.A. Grant Parkway when a school bus driven by Thomas Dolezal of 823 S.E. Waco Place, Waukee, pulled into the parking lot and reportedly struck the rear of Tounsley's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $500 to Tounsley's vehicle, there was no damage to the bus. There were no students on the bus at the time.

Timothy Blocher, 41, of 16207 Douglas Parkway, Waukee, was arrested in the 1900 block of Southeast University Avenue and charged with driving while revoked.
