Morain Loves Making a Difference in Waukee Business Community

A Waukee resident who gives endless hours to the business community was one of two people honored as the Ambassador of the Year last month by the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce.

Erna Morain, who is also the incoming president of the Waukee Rotary Club, received the honor at the year-end banquet along with Terry Snyder. Morain has been involved with the chamber for about seven years.

"The most rewarding part of volunteering for the Waukee Chamber is that I can make a difference for businesses, organizations and individuals in the Greater Waukee area," Morain said.

Learning that she was an Ambassador of the Year made Morain feel honored and proud "to be part of a great organization," she said.

She believes the biggest asset of the city's business community is the Waukee Chamber.

The Member of the Year award went to Dave Milburn of Triplett, Pieathlon and iapps24.
