Arrests for Assaulting a Police Officer, Driving While Barred: Waukee Police Blotter

Jan. 17
Cory Arment, 23, of 640 Third St., Waukee, was arrested in the 600 block of Third Street and charged with assaulting a police officer and interference with official acts. Police said they were called to a family disturbance, encountered Arment outside the residence, and he then punched an officer.

Jan. 18
Vehicles driven by Alissa Sheldon of 145 S.E. Booth Ave., Waukee, and Michael Kern of 245 Southview Drive, Waukee, were eastbound in the 1300 block of Southeast University Avenue when Kern's vehicle hit a patch of ice. Police said the vehicle went out of control and slid into Sheldon's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $4,000.

Vehicles driven by Karen Allen-Neese of 14962 Hawthorn Drive and Amy Starmano of West Des Moines were backing out of parking spaces in the 2300 block of L.A. Grant Parkway and rear-ended each other. Damage was estimated at $600.
Jan. 19
Ryan Plagman, 37, of 460 S.E. Whitetail Lane, Waukee, was arrested in the 900 block of Warrior Lane and charged with driving while barred. Plagman was cited for speeding.
John Bolles of Waukee reported a theft of bicycle in the 900 block of Southeast Waco Place.
