Waukee Community Education will be offering another session of Bricks 4 Kidz®. There is still time for parents to sign up for the upcoming session. Register today by visiting here and choosing fall classes. Bricks 4 Kidz® classes will begin September 17.

Bricks 4 Kidz® offers project-based programs designed to teach principles and methods of engineering and architecture, as well as concepts across a variety of subject areas including math, science and history using LEGO® bricks. The activities are designed to trigger children’s lively imaginations and problem solving and enable them to learn not only by listening and observing, but also by using their fine motor skills and spatial intelligence. Participants build a new project each week.

Session 1: Transportation Timeline

Build dynamic transportation models and explore the fascinating history of transportation from the horse and buggy to the modern day cars and airplanes we depend on! In this class the final destination is FUN!

• Monday, 9/17- 10/8 at Walnut Hills Elementary
• Tuesday, 9/18-10/9 at Waukee Elementary
• Thursday, 9/20-10/11 at Eason Elementary

All classes are from 3:50 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. Kids come straight to the Bricks 4 Kidz®classroom after the bell rings! If your child in Beyond the Bell or Live Y’ers we can make arrangements with your respective after school care program to get your child to and from the Bricks 4 Kidz® classroom.
