Taylor Family Welcomes Exchange Student

Rep. Rob Taylor (R-West Des Moines) and his family welcomed Patricia Kindlimann from Windisch, Switzerland into their family for the past year.

Kindlimann is an exchange student who has been living with the family and is a senior at Waukee High School. This week, Kindlimann spent time with Rep. Taylor at the state capitol.

"Patricia has been a great addition to our family and has seen first-hand how the American political process works," said Taylor.

Patricia arrived last August in the middle of Rep. Taylor's campaign and the presidential campaign in which she volunteered her time alongside the rest of the Taylor family.

"It's been interesting and unique for me to experience the American political process first-hand and I've enjoyed it greatly," said Kindlimann after her day at the Capitol with Taylor.
