Waukee After Prom Will Offer Tasty Treats

Waukee After Prom is ready to serve a wide variety of tasty treats to the 700-plus kids signed up for the April 27 event, who will likely be hungry from dancing all night at Prom.

The "Red Dirt Road" theme calls for county fair-type food. There will pork sandwiches, hamburger sliders, mozarella sticks, popcorn, nachos, pretzel covered pickles, ice cream bars, apples with caramel sauce, cake pops, Rice Crispies, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and a variety of beverages.

As night turns to morning the menu will change to breakfast burritos, doughnuts, cinnamelts, and smoothies. Students can also enjoy a few Iowa favorites, including corn dogs and breakfast on a stick (yes, sausage wrapped in a maple flavored pancake). Who could ask for more?
