City Seeks Citizens to Serve on Economic Development Advisory Committew
The committee will assist the city in promoting development of economic development efforts within the city.

The City of Waukee is taking applications for members of the newly-created Community and Economic Development Advisory Council.
The Advisory Council shall serve as an advisory board to assist the Community and Economic Development department in the promotion of community and economic development within the city and shall consist of members who shall serve three-year terms on a staggered basis.

Members may include non-residents who work in Waukee; however, a majority of the members shall be Waukee residents.
Each member represents a different business perspective that is useful to developing strategies for an economic development action plan that would improve the effectiveness of the City’s economic development efforts.

Applications are due to the City Clerk by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25 with anticipated appointment on October 21. An application form is available on the City website (www.waukee.org) or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 987-4522.
