Cozy Cafe Opening Sixth Metro Location in Waukee

Cozy Cafe, a fast-growing local restaurant chain, has announced plans to open its sixth metro location in Waukee on Oct. 15.

Founder Mark Linebach said the new restaurant will open at 280 W. Hickman Road in a space previously occupied by New York Restaurnt, the Des Moines Register reports.

Cozy Cafe’s other locations are at 15950 Hickman Road in Clive, the first of the restaurants opened in 2010, and 3855 121st St. in Urbandale, 3535 Valley West Drive in West Des Moines, and 5405 Douglas Ave. and 6401 S.E. 14th St., both in Des Moines.

When the Waukee location opens, some new items will be added to the restaurant’s breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Standard fare includes sandwiches, burgers, tenderloins, pasta, soups and salads.

With the expansion, Linebach has taken on a partner, Bryan Dullard, who will serve as operations manager. He previously worked as general manager of a Perkins restaurant in the metro area.
