Driver Reportedly Hits Bike Rider on Trail: Waukee Police Reports

June 8

Donna Watson of Waukee reported the theft of items from a storage shed in the 700 block of Ashby Drive. The loss was estimated at $280.

June 9

Doug Hazen of Waukee reported a burglary and vandalism to a vehicle while it was parked in the 500 block of Southeast Waco Place.The value of the missing items was $5; damage was estimated at $300.

A vehicle driven by Nathan Fulton of 15319 Airline Ave., Urbandale, was southbound on Alice's Road. Fulton started to turn left onto Hickman Road and reportedly struck a bicycle ridden by Ashley Ray of 720 17th St., Des Moines. Ray was eastbound on the bike trail. No injuries were reported. Vehicle damage was estimated at $50.
