Educator Brings Music and Movement to Waukee Families
Jennifer Horak-Hult, director of Pied Piper Studios in Waukee, wants you to know how her Kindermusik program helps children and families thrive. She would also like you to know that she's pretty fun to be around.

When did she bring Kindermusik to Waukee: In 2006 Horak-Hult opened her studio at West Side Dance Academy in Waukee, where she began her career as director and licensed Kindermusik educator of Pied Piper Studios.

What makes her notable: Horak-Hult is an advocate for children and families through Kindermusik, a music education program for children from infants to 7 years old. She values Kindermusik for its unique philosophy, which she said “emphasizes not only music education, but also the overall development of children and their families.”
Pied Piper Studios offered the first Kindermusik program in Waukee, Horak-Hult said.

She is also an advisor for Professional Development for the Partnership of Kindermusik International Advisory Board.
“I design and develop professional development opportunities for Kindermusik educators around the world,” she said.
Why should you get to know her: Horak-Hult’s passion for educating children is obvious the moment you meet her and her enthusiasm is infectious.
“I feel like an expert in my field,” Horak-Hult said. “I love to work with families and help them find ways to make raising kids easier and more fun. I'm also pretty fun to be around."
Visit her studio during any class and you’ll find little ones and their families pounding and shaking instruments, floating scarves, imitating sounds, moving to music, and singing.
