Fight at Waukee High School Leads to Assault Charge: Waukee Police Blotter

Feb. 4

A 16-year-old from Waukee was arrested in the 500 block of Southeast University Avenue and charged with simple assault. Police said the assault was tied to a fight at Waukee High School. Both combatants had minor injuries.

Megan Jorgensen of Waukee reported a case of identity theft.

A vehicle driven by Meridith Wies of Waukee was on the Interstate 80 westbound ramp, stopped at a stop sign as Wies waited to turn right. Police said a vehicle driven by Thane Peterson of Waukee rear-ended Wies' vehicle at the stop. Damage was estimated at $1,500.
