Former GOP Caucus Winner Huckabee to Headline Iowa GOP Event in Waukee Saturday

Fox News Channel host, former Arkansas governor and former Iowa Republican Caucus winner Mike Huckabee is the headliner at the Feb. 23 pro-life event. Point of Grace Church will host the gathering.

The Republican Party of Iowa will host former Arkansas governor, 2008 Iowa Caucus winner, Fox News Channel television host, syndicated radio personality and best-selling author Mike Huckabee as guest of honor and keynote speaker at an official Iowa GOP event promoting the pro-life cause.

The first "Celebrate Life" event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Point of Grace Church in Waukee. The program begins at 3 p.m. with doors opening at 2 p.m.

"The Republican Party of Iowa is proud to have Mike Huckabee as the keynote speaker at an event helping us to stand up for life, as it is the very first plank in our state party's platform," said Republican Party Chairman A.J. Spiker in the release. "One of my main areas of focus after being re-elected chairman was to reach out to our grassroots activists and social conservatives across the state. I wanted them to know that as long as I'm blessed with the opportunity to be State Chairman, the Republican Party of Iowa will always be committed to defending the sanctity of human life."

Tickets to the "Celebrate Life" event can be reserved for only $10 each or $20 per family. The address is 305 N.E. Dartmoor Drive, Waukee, IA 50263.

"The Republican Party of Iowa feels it's important to open up our events to everyone, and that includes creating a price point that everyone can afford," said Spiker. "We want everyone, especially young people and families to see a great event at a low cost, and join us for a day dedicated to celebrating the principles of life."
