Hadi Partovi Visits With Waukee Community School District 4th Graders

It’s been an exciting week is Mrs. Bartholomew’s 4th grade virtual classroom. The class is currently working through their immigration unit and had an opportunity to ask questions to Hadi Partovi, the Founder/CEO of Code.org. Partovi’s team also developed the Hour of Code, a project connecting students across the country to computer science.

Partovi discussed his journey to the United States and how he shaped his goals once he arrived.

Students also took turns asking questions about immigration and the importance of dreaming big,

“People tell you to write the size of your dreams, they say don’t aim too high,” says Partovi. “I think you should do the opposite, dream big beyond what anybody you know is doing.”
