Hot Jazz Warms Up the Night When The Jazz Page Plays at ArtsCentral Jan. 12

The Jazz Page will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at ArtsCentral, 405 Maple St. in Waukee, according to a news release.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and are available at Waukee Hardware or at the door based on availability.

“We are excited to welcome The Jazz Page to ArtsCentral and we hope everyone will join us for some hot jazz next Saturday!” said Cindy DePond of the Waukee Area Arts Council. “Everyone enjoyed John Krantz last summer at our Jazz in July at the Triangle and The Jazz Page in past years. Now you have the chance to enjoy both as John Krantz joins The Jazz Page for this performance.” 

Saxophonist Wayne Page teaches music/jazz at Waukee and is a 
talented professional musician in his own right, the release said. Musicians include: John 
Kizilarmut, drums; David Altemeier, bass; John Krantz, piano; and Wayne Page, saxophones.

The Jazz Page was formed a few years ago and is made up of musicians that are also dedicated to jazz education. The Jazz Page plays clubs, weddings, social gatherings, receptions and has also played the Des Moines Arts Festival and Jazz in July, the release said.
