Icy Roads Lead to Several Car Crashes: Waukee Police Blotter

Several car accidents were reported last week when the area weathered about 5 inches of snow and gusty winds. Check out today's Waukee Police reports.

Jan. 31

A vehicle driven by Brittney Fox of Clive was eastbound in the 900 block of Hickman Road when a vehicle driven by Cherie Lawson of Waukee hit a patch of ice and went out of control. Vehicle damage was estimated at $800.

Feb. 1

Matthew Harbaugh of Waukee reported identity theft.

A vehicle driven by Mason Cheney of Waukee was westbound in the 100 block of Corene Avenue. As Cheney tried to turn onto Second Street the vehicle hit a patch of ice and slid off the street and onto the sidewalk. Vehicle damage was estimated at $2,000.
