Katie's Crusaders Planning Inaugural 'Bike for Breasts' Poker Ride
The event, which will take place on Aug. 3, will be a fundraiser for the local non-profit organization for nine families dealing with breast cancer.
Katie's Crusaders of Waukee has come up with a new way to fight the battle against breast cancer.
The first-ever B for B – or Bikes for Breasts – fundraiser will be held on Aug. 3. The event is a poker ride biking event to help support local families during their battles with breast cancer.
The ride will start at 10:30 a.m. and registration is $25 per person. The event kicks off at Mullets in Des Moines, then proceeds to Orlondo’s, then Cumming Tap and back. After-ride specials will be available at Court Avenue Brewing Company in Des Moines.
A silent auction and prize giveaways will be held in conjunction with the ride.
One hundred percent of the proceeds go toward Katie's Crusaders 2013 families.
