Kleinwolterink Named 2020 Waukee Firefighter Of The Year In Waukee

The Waukee Fire Department awarded Firefighter/EMT Cole Kleinwolterink (in photo to the right) with its 2020 Firefighter of the Year honor. Known as "K-wink" around the fire station, Kleinwolterink has continually pushed himself and the organization to be better since he started as a paid-on-call employee in 2019. He was promoted to a full-time Firefighter/EMT in July 2020.

We congratulate him on this recognition!"Several members of the Waukee Fire Department also marked service milestones (L-R in photos):

  • Firefighter/Paramedic Josh Hutton - 15 years
  • Lieutenant Tony Clemen - 10 years
  • Firefighter/Paramedic Ken Larson - 10 years
  • Firefighter/Paramedic TJ Hardin - 5 years
