Laptop Computer Reported Stolen from Library: Waukee Police Reports

April 29

A vehicle driven by Lydia White of 705 S.E. Murphy Drive, Waukee, was westbound on Southeast University Avenue going through the intersection with Alice's Road. White was following a school bus that slowed at the train tracks when a vehicle driven by Patrick Gaffney of 15729 Walnut Meadows Drive, Grimes, reportedly struck the back of White's vehicle. Damage was estimated at $600. Gaffney was cited for failure to stop in an assured, clear distance.

Corey Pergande, 34, of 465 Bel Aire Drive, Waukee, was arrested in the 400 block of Bel Aire Drive and charged with simple assault.

A vehicle driven by Vicki Woody of 710 E. Main St., Panora, was southbound on Sixth Street and stopped at the intersection of Hickman Road when an unknown vehicle ahead of Woody backed into her vehicle and left the scene. Damage was estimated at $500. The other vehicle was not found.

April 30

David Devin, 42, of 1132 Vividell Lane, West Des Moines, was arrested at the intersection of Jordan Creek Parkway and Southeast University Avenue on a Waukee warrant for third-degree harassment. 

May 1

Keri Weston-Stoll, interim director of the Waukee Public Library, reported the theft of a laptop computer valued at $716 from the library.
