Multiple Fender Benders in Waukee Police Blotter

Dec. 17

Wes Conrad of Casey reported the theft of vehicle parts in the 1400 block of Hickman Road. 

Dec. 20

A vehicle driven by Madalin Akers of Waukee was westbound in the 1300 block of Southeast University Avenue when it slowed to make a right turn. Police said a vehicle driven by Norman Thiesse of Des Moines struck the back of Akers' vehicle. Thiesse was cited for a registration violation. Vehicle damage was estimated at $5,000.

Dec. 23

A vehicle driven by Ginny Smith of West Des Moines was westbound in the 700 block of Collins Drive and reportedly struck a legally parked vehicle. Vehicle damage was estimated at $450.

Dec. 24

A vehicle driven by Nathan Hurd of Waukee was stopped at a stop sign in the northbound lane of Jonas Circle when an eastbound vehicle driven by Phi Hguyen of Waukee reportedly tried to turn right onto Jonas Circle, striking Hurd's vehicle. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,500.
