New Kum & Go Store Opens on North Side of I-80 Exit at Waukee
Made-to-order pizza, fresh baked goods and more fueling stations are some of the amenities at Waukee's newest Kum & Go store.

Kum & Go opened a new store in Waukee Friday at 400 Prairie Bluff Drive that offers made-to-order pizzas, breakfast and deli sandwich and other treats made on-site in the store's kitchen, according to a news release from the chain.
This new store on the north side of Interstate 80 at Exit 117 replaces an older store that was located south of that exit at 33083 Ute Ave., the company said. The new store brings Kum & Goβs presence to three stores in Waukee and to 155 stores throughout Iowa.
The nearly 5,000-square-foot store introduces many new features both inside and outside the buildings. Inside, customers will find a larger product selection, a center checkout area, and an expanded Go Fresh Market offering fresh,Β made-to-order pizzas, as well as breakfast and deli sandwiches, and baked goodsβΒ all made fresh daily at the on-site kitchen, the company release said.

Outside, aΒ larger number of fueling positions, as well more variety in fuel offerings, give customers more choices and value at the pump.

Another distinguishing feature of the new store design is the strong emphasis on sustainability. Kum & Go designs and constructs the stores with LEED certification in mind, the company said. Each store is submitted under these rigorous guidelines to become LEED certified.
Sustainable features of this new Kum & Go store includesΒ Solatube skylights, LED lighting both inside and outside the store,Β low-flow water efficient fixtures, and high energy-efficiency equipment.
