Patch Picks: Five Places For Childcare

1) : First Steps Child Care Center offers daycare for children six weeks and up, including before and after school care for older children. It also offers pick-up and drop-off services, and all personnel are trained in first aid. 4) : West Side Kids is a preschool and daycare located off Hickman Road. The center offers small class sizes and a nurturing atmosphere. Kids are encouraged to learn, explore and have fun. West Side Kids is at 145 N.E. Dartmoor Drive.

5) : New Beginnings Preschool is a child care and educational service. The school offers full and part-time programs and activities for children ages six weeks to pre-K. Kids participate in age-appropriate activities as well as lessons in reading, music, art, math and other disciplines. New Beginnings is located in a temporary space in the old Waukee Elementary at 400 Locust St.
