Patch Picks: Five Places to Learn Something New

Kids' interests may change daily, so help them figure out what they love by enrolling them in a new class. They'll have a blast and learn something new at the same time.

1. : Classes offered include ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, and modern dance, and are available for both competitive dancers as well as casual.  Located at 125 N.E. Dartmoor Drive.

2. : This is not only the place to rent books for free to your hearts content, but you can also find writers clubs, reading groups, and youth programs here.  Find all class offerings on their website.  Located at 950 Warrior Lane.

3. : This 4,000 square foot gymnasium offers open gym days, private party rentals, and classes in cheerleading, tumbling, and competitive gymnastics.  Clinics and classes offered for all ages, starting at 2 years old.  Located at 75 N.E. Venture Drive.

4. : While now possibly best known for their eXtreme body shaping classes for adults, they also offer Tae Kwon Do classes for children, known as the Little Dragon and Tiger programs.  Located at 215 N. Warrior Lane.

5. : Class offerings include tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and ballet.  Boy classes are half price.  Check website for upcoming class schedules.  Located at 16190 Laurel Street.
