PepperJax Grill Coming to Clive

A new restaurant recently announced its plan to build a location in neighboring Clive.

PepperJax Grill, an Omaha-based fast food chain, will open two franchises in the Des Moines metro, according to the Des Moines Register. One will be located at 2010 S.E. Delaware Ave. in Ankeny, the other at 9901 University Ave. in Clive.

Both stores are slated to open in early February, the Register said.

PepperJax Grill’s menu includes Philly steak, chicken or veggie sandwiches, gourmet rice bowls and fresh salads and giant wraps that are similar to burritos, Linda Rohwer told the Register, who with her husband Gary Rohwer created PepperJax in 2002.

The eateries are franchises that will be operated by Restaurants Inc., the company that also operates HuHot Mongolian Grill in West Des Moines and Ankeny, and Smashburger, also with locations West Des Moines and Ankeny.
