Picnic Dubbed Successful Event for Dallas County GOP

The event was held on June 27.

From Dallas County GOP:

On Thursday, June 27, Dallas County Republican Party held a successful Inaugural Family Potluck at Dallas Center’s Mound Park. The event helped raise money for the Dallas County Republican Party.

“The enthusiasm for 2014 is building. We have a very strong foundation to build on, with a clear vision for positive change for all Iowans. The Potluck event is a strong indicator of local grassroots enthusiasm,” said Chair Christi Taylor.

Over 80 active Dallas County Republicans including many prominent countywide and legislative officeholders were in attendance. Statewide office holders State Auditor Mary Mosiman of Story County along with Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey of Dickenson County, and former gubernatorial candidate Rod Roberts of Carroll County were also in attendance.

The crowd was addressed by State Senator Joni Ernst of Red Oak and US Senate candidate Sam Clovis of Woodbury County. “We were very pleased with the great turnout,” stated Co-Chair Tyler De Haan. “The enthusiasm of the Dallas County Republican activist is strong going into the 2014 midterm elections and we hope to make this Family Potluck an annual event going forward.”
