Planned Alice's Road Interchange Will Require Some Adjustment
The city of Waukee and Iowa Department of Transportation are planning to build Iowa's first diverging diamond interchange.

Iowa is about to get its first diverging diamond interchange.
It’s part of the design for the Alice’s Road interchange with Interstate 80, the Des Moines Register reports. It should be complete by the end of 2015. City officials and developers got a look at one on a recent trip to Kansas City, where they got ideas for the new Alice’s Road corridor.
The design will require some adjustment on the part of drivers. It involves driving on the opposite side of the road. Drivers keep to the left while oncoming traffic passes on the right.Find out what's happening in Waukeefor free with the latest updates from Patch.
