Reminder: Waukee Fire Department is Serving Breakfast Saturday
The Waukee Firefighter Association breakfast will be held this morning at the Waukee Fire Department.

Rise and shine early this Saturday, Waukee, and don't miss the Waukee Fire Association's pancake and bacon breakfast.
The event will be held from 7-11 a.m. Saturday at the Waukee Fire Department. The breakfast is held to show the community everything the fire department has to offer.
In addition to noshing on pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee, there will be some fun activities for kids of all ages. An antique fire truck will be on hand for ride alongs and a host of other activities like station tours and demonstrations will shed a little light on what goes on at the station.

All funds raised go towards purchasing equipment and upgrading current equipment and facilities.
A food drive for the Waukee Food Pantry will be held in conjunction to the breakfast. Thomas Tysdal of the Waukee Fire Department said the most needed items are 100% fruit juice, canned chicken, pancake mix and syrup, boxed helper meals, size 5 and 6 diapers, and laundry soap.
