Shottenkirk Chevrolet Recommends Student for Scholarship

A Perry High School student has received a $2,000 scholarship from the Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education.

The Iowa Automobile Dealers Foundation for Education awarded Kyle Carnahan of Perry the $2,000 M. O. Kahn Scholarship, according to a news release.

Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Waukee recommended Carnahan for the scholarship.

Carnahan is a 2011 high school graduate currently enrolled in Des Moines Area Community College’s GM ASEP program, the release said.

Overall, the IAD Foundation awarded 13 $2,000 scholarships to college-bound students. The recipients are seeking education to begin a career in the automotive industry.

Scholarship applications are available each December. In the spring, the Foundation Board of Directors reviews scholarship applications and selects the winners.
